As the world is getting increasingly polarized, larger population around the globe, is facing issues like discrimination, divergence and  rebuttal.  As part and parcel of these issues, all age groups are getting immersed in negative emotions like hopelessness, fear, anxiety etc. The covid-19 pandemic has added fuel to the fire, where the whole world underwent what we can call as “Mass Trauma”.  As a matter of fact, schools set the stage for a child’s first relationship with the outside  world, ensuring the development of social relationships and interactions. Respect and understanding develop when students of different abilities and backgrounds play, socialize, and learn together.

In Beaconhouse School Systems, the hallmark of education is “Inclusion” i.e teaching for all, at the same  standards. We strive our best to inculcate the habit of making everyone feel special; so that nobody ever feels left out and everyone gets the idea that they matter; despite the mental or physical challenges they might have. In our efforts to do so, both middle and primary school at BSS Jubilee campus have been actively conducting PSHE lessons, centered upon the idea of making our learners the best human beings. Moreover, the PSHE lessons are designed in a way that every child feels seen and heard.

As part of our mental health program, the Middle School recently conducted lessons around all of their Grade-6, on the topic of “Everyone matters”. The lesson was a hit among students, as they actively participated in all the hands-on activities, and made vows that  no matter what, they will be supportive, kind and empathetic towards their fellow learners.

We, the management team at BSS Jubilee Campus will continue to promote the inclusive education system that will cut off all barriers, restricting the participation and achievement of all learners. We strongly believe that inclusion wins only, when everyone matters!
