Competition is always a good thing. It forces us to do our best. A monopoly renders people complacent and satisfied with mediocrity.”  Nancy Pearcy

Science competitions are a great way to engage students, build upon their practical skills and test their knowledge as well as their managerial skills. Competition teaches the importance of teamwork; the mid night oil is burnt to achieve success.

On Friday 29th October 2021, Beaconhouse Jubilee Campus Senior section held its Science competition for Grade 9 and 10. Students of Grade 9 had been challenged to form borax crystals, where 69 enthusiastic young future scientists participated. Students of Grade X were braved to bring any unique and innovative ideas to generate electricity. Total 6 teams, each consisting of 4 students, participated in this competition and demonstrated their ideas of electricity generation with the help of their models and shared their research. Students from all grades 9,10 and 11 visited this competition and appreciated the young scientists’ effort. Our respected judges, Sir Asghar Khan from the department of Physics and Sir Ejaz from the department of Chemistry observed each team’s project and asked a few questions to each team to assess their knowledge and gave points accordingly which led to the winner of this competition. This whole event was organized by Miss Nida Qureshi, Coordinator of the Department of Chemistry.

The winners were awarded with the certificates. We congratulate all the winners and wish them luck for a brighter future.
