From Shared Stress to Shared Support: Building a Wellbeing Community

In April, students at BCP-Potohar came together during Stress Awareness Month to reflect on their challenges, foster mutual support, and adopt manageable habits for improved wellbeing.

An interactive board titled “What’s Weighing on You?” was displayed in the main foyer to encourage student engagement. Students shared common stressors such as exams, time management, relationships, self-doubt, and future uncertainty, while also contributing coping strategies like talking to friends, listening to music, taking breaks, and staying organized. The board included simple stress management tips such as taking deep breaths, going for a walk, talking to a trusted person, and listening to music, helping to normalize shared experiences and promote peer-supported coping.

To extend engagement during preparation leave, students were also reached through the Lighthouse Room during online classes, where they participated in a brief interactive activity and were introduced to practical techniques such as box breathing, grounding, and thought reframing. The initiative aimed to normalize conversations around stress and encourage small, manageable steps towards wellbeing.
