Building Early Reading Skills with Confidence
The Pre-Nursery students of Beaconhouse Johar Town Junior participated in an exciting Three-Letter Words Reading Competition, designed to strengthen their early literacy skills. The activity provided a wonderful platform for students to demonstrate their ability to recognize sounds and blend simple CVC words with confidence.
Identifying Sounds and Letters
During the competition, students actively identified three-letter sounds, showing their growing understanding of phonics. Many students confidently recognized individual sounds and demonstrated strong awareness of letter-sound relationships, which is an important foundation for early reading.
Blending and Reading Words
A number of students showcased excellent skills in blending sounds together to read complete three-letter words. They carefully joined each sound and read the words correctly and fluently, reflecting their progress and practice in classroom learning activities.
A Proud Learning Moment
The Three-Letter Words Reading Competition was a joyful and meaningful experience for both students and teachers. It highlighted the remarkable progress of young learners in early literacy and reinforced the importance of phonics-based learning at this stage.
At Beaconhouse Johar Town Junior, we continue to nurture strong reading foundations through engaging and interactive learning experiences that inspire confidence and curiosity in our students.
