Dignity day, is a day that focuses on building the values of kindness, understanding, tolerance, and compassion in the youth. The day is celebrated on the third Wednesday of October in almost 50 countries across the globe. This day is an excellent initiative to inspire young people, to help them understand their role in building an inclusive society.
In middle school Global Dignity celebrations are a series of different activities, aimed at character building of our learners. From creating awareness lessons to conducting book drives, to organizing a mega event graced by one of the renowned social activists, Ms Alia Burney, the vice chairperson of Sarim Burney Trust. The session graced by Ms. Alia Burney started with qirat then a short role play was presented by our students to shed light on this valuable topic.
After that, our choir gave a job dropping performance on “We are Unity” song that showed the purpose uniquely.
Later, Ms Alia Burney gave an inspirational talk to our students, she shared her in depth knowledge and experience which boosted the students’ morale. A Q&A session was conducted at the end of her talk, in which our students asked various questions from Ms. Alia.
