There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when a toddler’s tiny hand slips into the weathered, gentle hand of a grandparent — and this week, that magic filled every corner of our Early Years Campus in Malir as we celebrated Grandparents Day with our youngest learners.
Toddlers and Their Grands, Together in Play
For our Toddlers, it was a day of *doing*, right alongside the people who shower them with the most unconditional love.

*Thumb Printing with Grandparents* turned into one of the sweetest sights of the day — tiny thumbs and older, familiar hands pressed side by side onto paper, leaving behind prints that were less about the craft and more about the closeness. For toddlers still learning to make sense of the world through touch and texture, having a grandparent’s hand guide theirs made the activity even more meaningful.
*Collage Work on Flowers* brought out bursts of color as little fingers (with plenty of loving supervision) pasted petals and leaves together, creating flowers that were wonderfully imperfect and entirely their own. It was a gentle, sensory activity — just right for our youngest artists.
*Puzzle Activity* gave grandparents and grandchildren a chance to problem-solve together, fitting pieces into place with encouragement from the sidelines. For toddlers, it wasn’t really about completing the puzzle — it was about the shared focus, the cheering, and the joy of “we did it together.”
More Than an Event
By the end of the celebration, our hallway was full of golden paper crowns, smiles, and the warmth that only grandparents bring. A banner reading “Grandparents make life sweeter” hung proudly over the gathering — and honestly, nothing could have summed up the afternoon better.

Days like this remind us why Early Years education is about so much more than academics. It’s about roots, relationships, and the people who shape a child’s earliest sense of love and belonging. To all the grandparents who took the time to color, paste, and puzzle their way through the afternoon with their little ones — thank you for reminding our toddlers, and all of us, what truly matters.
