Middle Section PECHS Campus shares with you a refreshing painting technique, Fresco Painting, used in our Art Lessons. Colour pigments are mixed only in water without any binding agent and the solution is applied to freshly laid lime plaster. The pigmentation gets absorbed in the plaster, as it dries itself.
Fresco painting was an extensively used technique in Early Christian Art along with Mosaics, Sculpture, and Manuscript Illumination. Students learnt about the Early Christian Art and the different mediums and methods used in the era; they
enjoyed the activity and created beautiful art pieces.
