No challenge is too small, and no idea for change is too ambitious. Standing up for the causes closest to our hearts is an act of hope and can also provide the spark that inspires others to stand with us. That is the promise of the Festival of Hope.
Beaconhouse IB world school Clifton campus comprises of students who display the learners’ profile at every walk of life. Students are caring and open-minded most of the time. They have voice and choice, hence using agency they take self- initiated actions on the local and global issues around us. To nurture their empathic nature and their sense of responsibility towards our country the school organized a social event on 14th October 2022 with the name of Festival of Hope . The event took the form of a bake sale and included lots of entertaining activities. The purpose of this event was to raise funds for the flood victims of our country.
IB students took unit related action and became entrepreneurs for this noble drive. Parents were urged to support these young generous learners in their tiny steps demonstrating their love, care and sense of responsibility towards the community. We all together can made it possible. Hence the Festival of Hope as mentioned was an initiative that created spaces for our young people to speak up and turn complex challenges into positivity and hope.
There were numerous scheduled activities for the festival of hope. Students, parents, and other community members used art to convey their opinions on it. On stage, students discussed it to raise awareness. The occasion was enhanced with a puppet show that was related to the same thing.
