Eid celebrations

The night before Eid always feels magical. The air is filled with excitement, األسواق are glowing with lights, and every home carries the scent of freshly prepared sweets. As the moon is sighted, a wave of joy spreads through hearts—marking the end of Ramadan and the beginning of celebration. For me, Eid is more than just a festival; it’s a feeling of togetherness, gratitude, and cherished traditions that bring families closer year after year. This blog is my little space to capture those beautiful moments, from early morning prayers to laughter-filled gatherings and everything in between.

In our house Eid mornings are chaotic but fun such as my dad cant find his shoes, my little sister has tangled her hair and my big sister is in the washroom for an hour and our mom is busy in the kitchen making the delicious and the start of Eid morning sheer-khur-ma.My dad threatening o go without my cousins to the eid prayer and its still 6 o’clock in the morning. After the chaotic morning we go greet my uncles and aunties and that is a true moment, the lively atmosphere.

The moment that everyone is waiting for getting eidi arguing about who got more money and some cousins refusing to give money to the younger ones, that is truly frustrating. When all the things our done and it is time for Magrib prayer we all pray and sneak out from our younger cousins. We often go to the park,or KFC and maybe if it’s our lucky day our older cousins treat us.By the times the day begins to wind down, the house slowly grows quieter, and the laughter turns into soft smiles and tired eyes. Plates are left half-empty, sweets are shared one last time, and everyone settles into a calm that feels just as special as the excitement of the morning. In those quiet moments, I realize that Eid isn’t about everything going perfectly—it’s about the love, the chaos, and the togetherness that fill our homes. And maybe that’s what makes it truly magical, year after year.
