One day a girl named Ajwa was just sitting on her bed when she saw a beautiful majestic bird fly on to her window. She was about to take a picture but the bird flew away before she could. The next day she hoped that the same bird would visit her again. What am I doing? She thought. There is no way that same bird would visit my window again. I mean the chances of that happening are one in a million. I mean if the bird was going to come again it probably would have come by now.
Just then the bird came through her window long enough to snap a pic. The bird flew off again and she wondered if it would come tomorrow. The next day she left some sunflower seeds for it. It came again but it looked a little sad. It ate the seeds and flew away. The bird kept coming every day of the week and she smiled at it each day, it looked more and more sad.
One day Ajwa decided to follow the bird which she named Majesty. The bird flew to a nearby road and flew behind a building. As she flew a portal opened in front of her and she flew inside. A beautiful voice came and said “ Go into the portal. Go into the portal, Ajwa Tree.” How does it know my name and why did it call me “Ajwa Tree”?
She went into the portal and thought that the bird was talking to her which she thought was crazy. Through the portal she saw a beautiful large green park with families on the grass, no man made things besides bird houses, birds chirping and ajwa trees tall as the eye could see. So that’s why Majesty called me “Ajwa Tree.”
Another portal opened and Majesty said “ Go out the portal, go out the portal Ajwa Tree she listened and went out of this portal. When she came out she saw the bird they were no longer in a magical place they were in her street. She looked around wondering if this was the same place. Did I go back in time, is this what that place looks like now? She wondered.
Majesty went but a new colorful bird said “Look what they did to the beautiful park. Now it’s just a worn out road with traffic 24/7. Yes, Ajwa Tree, this is the beautiful park you saw with my sister Majesty by the way I’m Scarlet.” Another portal opened and she followed scarlet through it.
There were no trees, no birds, no plants, just big, tall grey buildings. Scarlet went and another, smaller bird came and she said “ Hi, Hello my name is Rainbow. You probably saw your road which used to be a park with my sister Scarlet. If we don’t do something then this will be our future where birds are extinct.”
Another portal opened. They both went outside like the other two times she thought she was going somewhere with ground under her feet. She fell into this deep hole the bird was trying to lift her up but she hit the ground and startled awake. She was just in her room. Was that all a dream but it felt so real.
She saw Majesty, Scarlet and Rainbow in her room and instead of looking sad they all looked happy and on her lap. “ Don’t tell anyone about our little trip. Sorry about the fall, I forgot that you can’t fly.” Said Rainbow. They all flew outside her window promising that they’ll be back. “ Bye little birdies and it’s okay.” Said Ajwa.
The next day of school in class she suggested to her teacher that they clear up the old junk yard near the school and plant some trees. Her teacher agreed that we’ll do it every Saturday. While this was happening a portal opened up and Majesty, Scarlet and Rainbow and someone came through it. She was tall, had long green hair filled with flowers. “ We’ll done Ajwa Tree. Well done.” Said Mother Nature. She went back into the portal with the three birds following her.
