You glow differently when you are happy!

Happiness is the bliss you feel when you’re aware that you are becoming your best self. It is one step ahead to just feeling good commonly known as “positive affect”. Feeling good is a great start to happiness. True happiness is a deep glow that comes from within.

BEING happy has positive impacts on the brain. In fact, it rewires the brain to make it easier to attain its full potential.  So, as an individual, what can you do to be happy? How can you train your brain to create all of these positive outcomes? Although feeling good is not the desired endpoint, it’s a great way to start! Few simple techniques that can change your brain and put you on the path to being a happy person are:

  • Write down things you are grateful for each day
  • Take out 2 minutes and write about a positive experience you had over the past 24 hours
  • Exercise for 10 minutes a day
  • Meditate for 2 minutes and focus on your breath as you inhale and exhale

Doing these activities without fail for three weeks will literally change how you see the world.  You’ll be more familiar to the positive in your life.  You’ll be able to control the rant in your mind that draws attention away from the present and focuses it on the past or the future and you’ll strengthen your ability to see the world in terms of those whom you serve.
