Culinary Club Grade 1 & 2

In a culinary club, children come together to learn new recipes, practice existing recipes, share their favourite meals, discuss cooking tips, and enjoy the activity of cooking together. 
The purpose of the Culinary Club is to provide an environment for students to, socialize, be creative, learn cooking skills, and have fun.
Cooking with students educates and empowers students to make nourishing food choices through hands-on learning. Cooking is a life skill and supports math, science, language, social emotional development, physical development (fine motor skills) and cognitive development. Students of grade 1 and 2 learned table manners, set their tables and prepared a healthy plate keeping the 3 food traffic lights in their minds.
