And who stands at the heart of that transformation? Teachers.
At I-9 Campus, World Teachers’ Day was not just a date on the calendar; it was a heartfelt celebration of the people who inspire curiosity, nurture potential and shape futures every single day. The spotlight shifted from the students to the teachers and what followed was a day filled with appreciation, surprises, laughter and a little well-deserved glamour!
The celebrations began with some of the most meaningful gifts a teacher can receive, words from their students. Students designed and created beautiful wish cards for their teachers, filling them with colourful artwork, thoughtful messages and heartfelt expressions of gratitude. Each card was a small but powerful reminder of the impact teachers have on their students’ lives. For the teachers, these were not simply cards.
They were treasured tokens of appreciation, personal messages that made the celebration all the more special.
But the surprises were only beginning…
Usually, teachers are the ones welcoming, guiding and celebrating their students. This time, however, the roles were reversed. The teachers were given the red-carpet treatment, turning the campus into a celebration worthy of the stars of the day.
Adding to the excitement, Cluster Convener Ms. Ayesha Shams joined the celebrations and presented the teachers with thoughtful gift hampers from Head Office. The smiles, laughter and excitement that followed were a beautiful reflection of how much a simple gesture of appreciation can mean. For a moment, lesson plans, deadlines and busy schedules could take a back seat. Today was about them.
The Perfect Finale: A Well-Deserved Pause
The celebrations culminated in a delightful Hi Tea, giving teachers the opportunity to step away from their demanding routines and simply enjoy being together. Over delicious food and cups of tea, conversations flowed, laughter filled the room, and colleagues enjoyed a relaxed chit-chat away from the usual hustle and bustle of school life.
And a reminder that those who spend their days caring for others also deserve moments of care and appreciation themselves.
As the day came to a close, the message was unmistakable:
Teachers may spend their days creating moments that their students will remember, but on this special day, it was their turn to create memories of their own.
