A Tale of Mother’s Day Celebrations:
Honoring Our Incredible Moms in Early Years & Lower Primary!
There is no love quite like a mother’s love, and in May our school campus (both physical and virtual!) was absolutely buzzing with gratitude, laughter, and celebration. To honor the extraordinary women in our students’ lives, our classes took two distinct but equally beautiful approaches to Mother’s Day: cozy, hands-on physical challenges in Early Years, and an innovative, high-energy online game day for Grades 1 and 2.
Early Years: Royal Crowns, Mind Games, and Teamwork!
For our youngest learners in the Early Years department, celebrating Mom was all about working together side-by-side. Our school was transformed into an interactive hub where moms and children teamed up for a series of fun physical challenges.
đź‘‘ Crowning Our Queens & Sequencing Success
The day kicked off with royal flair! Children carefully crafted and decorated custom, glittering crowns to place on their mothers’ heads, officially crowning them the “Queens of the Day.” Once crowned, the teamwork truly began. Mothers and children huddled together to solve colorful puzzles and tackle a tricky “balls-in-sequence” challenge, sorting and matching patterns in a race against the clock!
🧠Mind Puzzles and Mighty Pyramids
The excitement kept building as our duos put their minds to the test. Mothers giggled their way through a fast-paced memory game, testing how well they could recall hidden objects. Afterward, it was time to build! Using cups and blocks, moms and children engineered massive, steady pyramids, balancing each piece with absolute focus.

Grades 1 & 2: The Ultimate Virtual Mother’s Day Scavenger Hunt!
Meanwhile, our Lower Primary students in Grades 1 and 2 took their celebrations to the digital screen! Demonstrating incredible tech fluency and enthusiasm, our students hosted an interactive online Mother’s Day session that filled living rooms with pure excitement.
🔍 “Quick, Find Mom’s Favorite Dress!”
The highlight of the virtual party was a fast-paced Live Scavenger Hunt! Teachers called out clues over the screen, sending students sprinting around their homes to find and bring back special items belonging to their mothers. Laughter erupted across the video grids as students proudly held up:
-
Their mom’s absolute favorite dress (with beautiful stories about why she loves it!)
-
Her most stylish pair of shoes
-
Meaningful personal belongings and keepsakes that put huge smiles on the moms’ faces.

📸 Moments Frozen in Time: The Mother-Child Photo Share
Beyond the games and crafts, the true heart of our celebration was found in a beautiful moment of reflection and connection. Ahead of the event, moms sent in their favorite, most cherished mother-child photographs, which were compiled into a stunning visual showcase.

It was a beautiful way to see our students celebrate the little details that make their mothers so special, all while staying connected as a virtual classroom community.
🏆 The Grand Finale: Celebrating Our SuperMoms!
Whether they spent the morning building cup pyramids on the classroom floor or racing across their living rooms to find shoes during the online scavenger hunt, all of our mothers proved one thing: they are absolute champions. To wrap up both the physical and virtual events, the students presented their moms with beautifully designed, official Mother’s Day Certificates. It was the perfect, heartfelt end to a day dedicated to saying “Thank you for everything you do!”
