Exploring, Creating, and Making a Difference Through E-STEAM and E-SUPER Learning in Lower Primary

The classrooms of lower primary came alive with excitement, creativity, and innovation as our enthusiastic Grade 1 and 2 students proudly showcased their learning during the Project  Culmination Event. Through hands-on exploration, inquiry-based learning, and collaborative activities, our young learners demonstrated their understanding of two engaging projects that combined knowledge, creativity, and real-world problem-solving.

Grade 1s Project Culmination where Creativity Meets Conservation! 💧🎨

🎨 E-STEAM Project: Push, Pull and Paint
Driving Question: “How can we use everyday objects as tools for making art?
Our budding artists presented how everyday objects can be transformed into unique painting tools and experimented with different techniques to create beautiful masterpieces. Using items such as toy cars, sponges, rollers, string, combs, and recycled materials, students observed how pushing and pulling objects across surfaces produced different artistic effects. Through inquiry and experimentation, they discovered that art can be created in countless imaginative ways beyond the traditional paintbrush. During the culmination event, students confidently explained their artwork, demonstrated various painting techniques, and shared their learning with parents.

💧 E-SUPER Project: Drip, Drop and Stop
Driving Question: “How can we save every drop of water?”
Our young environmental champions took on the important challenge of understanding water conservation and discovering ways to protect one of Earth’s most precious resources.
Throughout the project, students explored the importance of water in daily life, identified causes of water wastage, and learned practical strategies to conserve water at home and school. Through engaging activities, discussions, experiments, and awareness campaigns, they developed a deeper appreciation for responsible water usage. At the culmination event, students proudly presented posters and creative displays showcasing their ideas for saving water. They confidently shared simple yet impactful solutions such as turning off taps properly, fixing leaks, using water wisely, and encouraging others to adopt water-saving habits.

Grade 2 Project Culmination Celebration! ♻️🌎✨ From Shadows to Sustainability

🌞 E-STEAM Project: Glow Makers
Driving Question: “How can we use sunlight and shadows to create a fascinating story?”
The Glow Makers project invited students to explore the wonderful relationship between sunlight, light sources, and shadows. Through observation, experimentation, and creative thinking, learners discovered how shadows are formed, how they change throughout the day, and how they can be used as powerful storytelling tools. Students enthusiastically designed and presented their own shadow stories, puppets, and creative displays, bringing characters and narratives to life through light and movement. By combining science, creativity, and communication, they learned that shadows are not only scientific phenomena but also a medium for imagination and artistic expression.

♻️ E-SUPER Project: Trash to Treasure
Driving Question: “How can we save, reuse, and treasure to help our Earth?”
Our young environmental stewards embarked on a meaningful journey to understand the importance of reducing waste, reusing materials, and protecting our environment. Through the Trash to Treasure project, students explored how everyday discarded items can be transformed into useful and creative products.
Using recyclable materials such as plastic bottles, cardboard, paper, containers, and packaging materials, students designed innovative creations that demonstrated the value of recycling. They presented that small actions can make a significant difference in preserving natural resources and reducing environmental pollution.

From brainstorming sessions to the final showcase, the ESTEAM and E-Super journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Our students dreamed big, worked hard, and showed us exactly what the future looks like. Bravo to all of our young innovators, you made this an event we won’t soon forget!
