Children’s Day is a commemorative date celebrated annually in honor of children, whose date of observance varies by country. In 1925, International Children’s Day was first proclaimed in Geneva during the World Conference on Child Welfare. World Children’s Day is celebrated on the 20th of November in Pakistan to commemorate the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly on 20 November 1959.

For the first time in BKI-PWD, we celebrated Children’s day on 19th November’2021. The school was decorated beautifully for the day.

The school HMI welcomed the students at the gate with sweets and badges to make them feel special, the smile and happiness it brought on the kid’s faces were priceless.

In classes they were welcomed by the teachers warmly, they were given heartwarming surprises, prerecorded video messages from their parents were played in the class to let them know that they are loved immensely by their families.

Students were taken to the play area of the school where they enjoyed music, ate popcorns, played some games with their teachers, and had face painting. It was a day of joys and smiles, the day ended with the special takeaways prepared by the school for children.

This day will be in the cherished memories of the students and faculty for days to come.
