Global Dignity is the story of three friends—a prince, a philosopher, and a community leader and organizer— who share the belief that dignity has the power to transform our world into a place where compassion, understanding, and love triumph over intolerance, injustice, and inequality. They founded Global Dignity in 2006 to engage young people around the world in a powerful and immersive learning experience focused on the universal values of our shared humanity: dignity.
At BKI-PWD Global Dignity Day is an inspirational and participatory event every year that engages our young learners in both understandings and celebrating dignity. A number of exciting activities were conducted to mark the day. All students were given a presentation on GDD to make them aware of its importance and fathom its value. Young pre-schoolers of Pre nursery made dignity tree by fingerprinting. Nursery Kids explained their understanding of dignity in simple yet meaningful words. Our Kindergarteners made posters and videos to share what dignity means to them. Grade one celebrated the day by making dignity cards .
Our school staff served a lavished hi-tea and presented gifts to our junior staff to thank them for all the support they provide us.
A very colorful and thought-provoking Global Dignity wall was made by the whole school, interestingly each and every individual right from pre-nursery to grade One, school Management, teaching faculty, and junior staff contributed positively to this wall-making activity. This wall represents our school culture which is based on the virtue of dignity.
The word DIGNITY was made by the whole school to show our enthusiasm and vigor to celebrate and enjoy the day. All these activities were carried out to educate and inspire our students and help them to understand their self-worth and the concept of dignity in an innovative manner.
