It is a known fact that Breast cancer affects hundreds of women nationally; yet, it is seldom talked about. It is the cultural stereotypes associated with it that hinder awareness and action, especially in the less developed areas. As October is globally marked as the month of breast cancer awareness, BSTRG organized an awareness session for its students.
The event was done in collaboration with Shifa Foundation, where Dr. Humera Naz shared essential information with the audience. She covered aspects including signs and symptoms, role of genetic make-up in its development, and the importance of early detection.
