Security at BEC

Beaconhouse Educational Complex is the academic center for almost 860 pupils, statistically connected directly to the GT road at the heart of the sector G-15 which makes its location prime. The huge Complex needed to be physically secure at all times. The physical security measures are designed to protect the building and safeguard the students and the faculty inside. In short, to keep unwanted people out and give access to authorized individuals only, our layers of security prevent physical security breaches and threats which is the key to keep BEC safe, as well as any student, staff and faculty.

In the built-in environment, we often think of physical security controls as locks, gates and guards. While these are effective, there are additional layers to physical security that can help keep all our assets protected. A comprehensive security plan combines both technology and specialized hardware, and should also include counter measures against intrusions such as follows:

  • side design and layout
  • environmental components
  • emergency response readiness
  • training
  • excess control
  • intrusion detection
  • power and fire protection

The smartest security strategies that BEC follows has a layered approach, that means building a complete system with strong physical security components. The three main components are:

  1. Deterrence; The physical security measures to keep people out or away from the space using physical barriers, walk-in gates and bomb proof doors are the prime security measure used by BEC security system to keep the premises safe and sound around the clock. Moreover, well- trained guards are there in and around the building for a continuous 24 hours.
  2. Detection: This component of the physical security system helps to identify potential security threats or intruders. Sensors, alarms and automatic notifications are all examples of physical security detections that we at BEC follow to keep the building secure. Surveillance cameras are crucial to physical security control for building which are installed on the locations after considering the viewing angles to see both real time footage as well as previously recorded activity and is amicably used by the BEC security team.
  3. Response: It includes the components that are in place once a breach or intrusion occurs. Like physical security response includes communication systems, building lockdowns and contacting emergency services or first responders. For this, the faculty has been trained and assigned different roles to take up in case of any unforeseen event.

Together these physical security components work to stop unwanted individuals from accessing the space and notifies the necessary teams to respond quickly and appropriately.

The thorough consideration of keeping the BEC safe by the well-trained security consultants and day to day evaluation according to the security situation of the city makes the security at BEC up to the mark at all times.
