Sports play an important role in nourishing the mental capabilities of students. It lays valuable worth in reduction and elimination of stress. Undoubtedly, sports play an eminent role in healthy living.

As Mohammad Ali, the great boxer, once said and I quoted; The will must be stronger than the skill. A multitude of activities were held where students of middle school and O levels exhibited their talent and skill through active participation.

To showcase our students’ sports skills, we organized “Sport’s Day” for Primary, Middle and O levels in Islamabad Sports Complex on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. The day was full of zeal and enthusiasm with the tremendous turnout from the parents and especially the grandparents with the blessed, bright sunny weather to support and boost our athletes who were preparing day in and out since a week to entertained with their power-packed performance on the field. The parents’ enthusiastic participation boosted the performances and gave courage to our students and teachers alike.

Athletes entered the field to impress with the march to show uniformity and togetherness. They were led by the Headboy, Syed Zumair Ali Shah, and Headgirl, Zara Jehanzaib. Without Self-discipline success is impossible! This was rightly depicted in their performance.

Oath-taking and balloon flying were part of the event. Our girls from primary showed the balance, strength, flexibility, agility, coordination, dedication and endurance level while performing the display of gymnastics which was highly appreciated by the parents.

The students of Grades 2-8 competed in Galloping, Skipping, Single-Leg Hopping, 3-Legged Race, Lemon &Spoon Race, Hurdle Race, Sack Race, Book Balancing Race, Flat Race and Relay Face.

Karate display was performed by the Primary Karate Club students to showcase a form of martial arts, that instills self-confidence, strengthens the mind, develops composure and deeper insight into one’s mental capabilities. It improves coordination, builds stamina and overall health. What a brilliant performance it was by our young students!

A variety of races were held on sports day for our Middle and O’ Level students as well such as:

  1. 1.300 Dribbling Race.
  2. 20m Lemon and Spoon Race.
  3. 20m Sack Race/100m Flat Race.
  4. 4.30m Book Balancing Race/200m Flat Race.
  5. 200m Relay Race/ 400m Relay Race.

Students participated excitedly in all these races to show their talent and mind grasping response to spontaneous actions. This was an amazing insight observed at BEC, where optimum participation was catered.
