“Winter is not a season, it’s a celebration.”
For students, there is nothing more affirming than being told ‘you’re doing well’, from a mentor, parent, or educator. Celebrating the end-of-term activities in the last week of the school year is one form of encouragement that drives students to stay on track and stay motivated with their learning. They feel supported by their school and teachers, who acknowledge their success and effort and lead them to continue working hard towards their personal goals. Celebrations boost confidence and raise their self-esteem.
Crazy Hair Day and Talent Hunt
On 20th of December, we, at BEC, celebrated by organizing crazy hair day and a talent hunt. Students came wearing different and creative hairstyles from home. Talent Hunt was another main highlight of the day, where students displayed their confidence and showed utmost interests. The stage was also set up for them to display their various talents. Our talented students performed various acts and mimicry, and sang songs to have fun with their peers.
Movie Day
A Movie Day was planned for 21st December to entertain and develop cognitive and linguistic skills, along with increasing the imagination and creativity of our students. Each class had a movie played as mentioned; students of each level could watch a movie of their choice, with their buddies. Students were given tickets, and to further entertain them, popcorn was also provided to them, so they could experience watching a movie in a cinema.
Winter Carnival
As per tradition, BEC always organizes a Winter Carnival on the last day of the school year. The Winter Carnival provides the opportunity for our students to indulge in different activities to learn new things that are out of the box. This year, it took place on Friday, 23rd December, 2023. These activities build confidence and helps them feel good, while creating a sense of excitement and fun in the school community. The ground was beautifully decorated to give the effect of snow, along with different stalls and games. Students had a lot of fun to end their first academic term with great pomp and show. BEC was happy to see the cheerful faces bidding goodbye to their friends and teachers before going for their winter break.
