Sir Muhammad Iqbal known as Allama Iqbal<\/span> was an Islamic philosopher and poet. His <\/span>poetry in <\/span>Urdu<\/span><\/a> is considered to be among the greatest of the 20th century, and his vision of a cultural and political ideal for the Muslims of <\/span>British India<\/span><\/a> is widely regarded for the <\/span>Pakistan Movement<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

He was born on 9th November 1877 in Sialkot. T<\/span>he day is celebrated with special events and programs held at schools and cultural centres across Pakistan. Students recite Iqbal\u2019s poems, listen to speeches about his life and work, and take part in quiz competitions and other activities. A national holiday, Iqbal Day is an important part of Pakistani culture and helps keep alive the memory of one of the nation\u2019s most important figures.<\/span><\/p>\n

His message to the youth is to give importance to both modern and religious education to achieve progress and lead their communities out of danger. He encouraged youth to explore their inner potential and cultivate qualities that lead to greatness. He believed youth are the future leaders and must take their responsibilities to bring about positive change, taking the nation to new heights. He inspired youth to rise above challenges and not shy away from life’s difficulties.<\/span>
\n<\/span>If I could talk to Allama Iqbal, I would ask him how he thought about making Pakistan and why he felt a need for an independent state for Muslims. I feel that the answer he would have given must be to look around and see how Muslims in this country are free to pray, live and follow their religion without any difficulty.<\/span>
\n<\/span>My favourite poetry of Allama Iqbal is \u201c\u1e33hud\u012b ko kar buland itn\u0101 ki har taqd\u012br se pahle \u1e33hud\u0101 bande se \u1e33hud p\u016bchhe bat\u0101 ter\u012b raz\u0101 ky\u0101 hai\u201d<\/span>
\n<\/span>Following <\/span>Iqbal’s dream<\/span><\/a> means realising his ideals of<\/span> selfhood<\/span><\/a>, faith, and action to build a strong, prosperous, and morally upright Pakistan.<\/span><\/p>\n
