A New Chapter at Old School

After stepping away from teaching for ten years to focus on my family, I returned to the classroom in 2009 when my youngest started KG. It felt like the perfect time to resume a career I loved. My journey began at Beaconhouse Primary III PECHS, where I dedicated five years to teaching before taking another break in 2014. The call of the classroom came again, in 2018, and I rejoined the Beaconhouse family, this time at KGIII PECHS

Now, after another eleven years, I felt a powerful sense of nostalgia as I walked into what is now known as the Elementary Campus Darul Aman. It was my parent branch, though under a new name. As I stepped inside, a flood of memories washed over me. I thought of the colleagues who became lifelong friends, and the bonds we forged over shared lessons and countless laughs. Although many have since moved on from teaching or been transferred, the friendship we built remains strong and unbreakable.

Returning to that familiar building was an emotional experience. I was delighted to see some of my old colleagues, whose warm smiles and welcoming hugs made me feel right at home. It’s comforting to know that some things, including certain people, remain constant.

However, this return comes with a new and exciting challenge. The merger of two branches has created a new team, blending old staff with new faces. Our collective goal is to work together, leveraging our combined experience and passion to make this Elementary Campus the best school in the area. I am ready to take on this challenge and excited to see what we can accomplish together.
