Many parents talk about rising prices and how expensive everything has become. But what many people don’t realize is that the economy is also aff ecting our school in many ways.
First of all, school fees have increased. Many families are struggling to pay on time because the cost of food, electricity, and transport has gone up. This creates stress at home and sometimes even aff ects students’ focus in class. When students are worried about money problems, it becomes harder for them to concentrate on studies.
Secondly, school supplies are much more expensive now. Uniforms, books, stationery, and even lunch items cost more than before. Some students are reusing old notebooks or uniforms because buying new ones is diffi cult. This shows how strongly the economy is impacting daily school life.
School trips and activities have also been aff ected. The cost of buses and fuel has increased, so trips are either more expensive or
sometimes cancelled. Events that used to be big and exciting are now simpler because the school has to manage its budget carefully.
Even small things have changed. The school may try to save electricity by using fewer lights or fans. Sometimes maintenance or improvements are delayed because materials and labor are costly. These changes show that the economic situation is not just something we hear about on the news — we see it around us every day.
However, this situation is also teaching us important lessons. We are learning to be more careful with money, to avoid wasting resources, and to appreciate what we have. As students, we can support each other and understand that everyone may be facing challenges.
In conclusion, the economy is not just aff ecting businesses or adults. It is directly aff ecting our school, our families, and our daily lives. But if we stay united and positive, we can overcome these challenges together.

Zimmel Rehman| VI-A Nowadays, we hear a lot about the economy.
