From Student to Boss: My Hour in the Principal’s Office

I woke up thinking it was a regular Monday. So I brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, and got ready for school.

When I arrived, I thought nothing was going to happen. But then I went to the back of my school and saw a big wheel with every student’s name on it.

I went to my line and the principal came out and made an announcement:

“This is not a regular wheel. This is a wheel with everyone’s names on it, and whoever’s name is chosen will be the principal for a day.”

I was praying to get chosen. And to my surprise, I did! I never felt happier in my whole life!

I was taken to the principal’s office—which was huge—and then I decided to change some rules.

The first thing I changed? Bullying is NOT allowed. Simple as that.

I also added a school canteen with prices that aren’t too high, because everyone deserves good food without having to empty their pockets. And those dirty classrooms? Gone. I turned them into clean, luxury classrooms where students actually want to learn.

I decided to lower the school fees too. They are not meant to snatch money from people who spend hours working at their best. And I removed the dress code so students can wear anything they want—within reason, obviously. (No pyjamas, maybe?)

Any principal would want the best for their school, and I did. I added a bigger staffroom for teachers to relax, and an auditorium that would be the biggest in the country. I even hired more security guards to keep everyone safe.

And after all that, I set the changes to permanent.

But then… time was up. An hour felt like a second.

I learned to never get too excited, because just like that, I was a regular student again.
