This year, the students at the Early Years Campus embraced the spirit of environmental stewardship by participating in World Cleanup Day in partnership with the Bahawalpur Waste Management Corporation (BWMC) at the Bahawalpur Zoo. Guided by the school management, our young eco-ambassadors eagerly rolled up their sleeves to make a difference in their community.
As they arrived at the zoo, the students were ready to engage in meaningful action. Working alongside BWMC staff and zoo workers, they learned the importance of sorting recyclables and disposing of waste properly. This hands-on experience allowed them to understand the significance of collective action in creating a cleaner and greener environment.
The joy and enthusiasm displayed by the students were infectious as they collaborated with their peers, developing a sense of teamwork and responsibility. They realized that even small efforts can lead to significant changes, fostering a sense of pride in their contributions to the environment.
After their hard work, the students were rewarded with a visit to the zoo. Their faces lit up with joy and excitement as they watched the animals, knowing that their efforts had a direct impact on keeping the environment clean for both wildlife and visitors. This experience not only deepened their connection to nature but also instilled a lifelong sense of responsibility for caring for the planet.
Participating in World Cleanup Day has left a lasting impression on our students, reminding them that they have the power to effect change. As they move forward, we hope they carry this sense of environmental responsibility into their futures, inspiring others to join the movement for a sustainable world.
