The 85th death anniversary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal was observed at Model Town Campus Bahawalpur. The students put their efforts to pay homage to Iqbal’s services to the Muslims of the subcontinent. In this special morning assembly, students of Class II performed a roleplay that directly reflected Iqbal’s major role in the struggle for freedom. Students delivered speeches to emphasize that Iqbal was the proponent of unity amongst Muslims and he taught them to rely on their resources and strength. A quiz session was also conducted to gauge students’ understanding of the contribution of the great poet and philosopher of all times. In the end, students of Class V reflected on the thoughtful poems of Iqbal which served to be the beacon of light for the subcontinent Muslims and helped awaken the ummah from a slumber.
