‘Books are your best friend’. This is something we all grew up listening to and it couldn’t be truer. It is always such a fascinating sight to see our little ones enjoying their time in the Library Learning Resource Centre. Lost in the world of imagination, students not only polish their reading skills but also improve brain connectivity, creativity and concentration.

International School Library Month was celebrated at school recently, where students actively participated in various activities. Students lived out their fantasies by dressing up as story characters from their favourite story book. We all time travelled into the land of fairytales. The school was scintillating with Cinderellas, Sleeping Beauties, Snow Whites, Princes, Princesses and Kings. We could see Harry Potter casting his spells and Red Riding Hoods fixing their scarves. It was a sight to watch as they came on stage to talk about their characters. Students also designed bookmarks along with their teachers, with each of them stating “Readers are Leaders”.

Students of Pre- Nursery and Nursery enjoyed ‘Story Character Recognition Activity’. Students were also amused by an interactive ‘Story Telling Session’. The librarian read out loud their favorite story books to them in the Library Learning Resource Centre. Later on, students of lower primary engaged in a thrilling scavenger hunt, where all the students were awarded with certificates. Students actively participated in all activities. The entire month was planned to ignite love for reading and to build a stronger relationship with books.
