It all started during an E-STEAM project when our class was divided into groups. There were two main teams, and both were strongly disagreeing with each other. They were arguing over the theme of the project, and no one was ready to listen or compromise.

One team wanted to create a tech-inspired, modern, computer-themed project. They planned to include gadgets, coding concepts, and a futuristic design. On the other hand, the second team wanted to make it colourful and beautiful, with creative decorations and artistic designs. Both ideas were good in their own way, but instead of understanding each other, they turned it into a serious argument. This was the main issue they were fighting about, and it really surprised me how something small could turn into such a big problem.

Soon, the class had become like an arena of fights and bullying. Both teams just wanted to put each other down by any means, and no one cared about teamwork anymore. That’s when I lost my cool. I couldn’t see my friends fighting like maniacs because I could clearly see that even those who were never part of bullying or mistreating others were joining in just to support their team. This made me understand how a rotten tomato can cause the whole container to rot.

At that moment, I decided to take a stand and find a solution. I stood up and suggested that instead of fighting, we could make two presentations and let the teacher decide which one was better. I explained that sometimes, when it is hard to reach an agreement, we need someone to act as a mediator—and who can understand a class better than its teacher?

Surprisingly, everyone listened. Like a great team, my class agreed to the idea. In the end, I felt very proud of myself for helping solve the problem and stopping the cycle of negativity and conflict in the class.

Muhammad Omer Hashmi, V-F One time, when I was in fourth class in this school, there was a lot of… Continue reading Be A Mediator, Not A Bully

[30,11
32,14,34,13,31,33
post-661","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-stop-the-rot","category-students-blogs","tag-bethechainbreaker","tag-bssnnpvi","tag-bullying","tag-nnpvi","tag-stoptherot","tag-anti-bullying","entry
["GET
