A Tale of Renewal

This a poem written by one of our budding poets, Ali Ahmed of class VI.

In the parched garden, a small rose,

Deprived of water, under the scorching sun’s relentless blaze, waits in agony.

Its delicate stem begins to yield under the weight of despair,

yet no one pays heed to its silent plea.

The sun, both a smiling and grieving witness, remains indifferent, unable to offer solace.

Tears cascade from the rose’s petals, as they wither and dry in desolation.

Along the lonely road, a compassionate badger strolls,

Noticing the burden the rose carries.

Moved by empathy, the badger seizes a hose and showers life upon the distressed flower. Revived, the rose exudes a newfound vitality, as if rescued from an impending doom.

In the embrace of the rejuvenating breeze,

The rose gracefully dances, asserting itself as the monarch of blossoms.

Grateful, it extends heartfelt thanks to the benevolent badger,

A savior akin to a catcher of life. With renewed vigor, the rose departs,

Leaving behind the shadows of its earlier distress, not a trace of a cough marring its revitalized essence.
