Student life is a very relatable thing; we all can take it as a piece of cake or as our worst night mare. It’s true, we do get frustrated at one point and then an evil thought cooks up in our brain to just cheat.
However, if we can’t memorize something then we can think of easy tricks to do it. If you want that D grade of yours to turn into an A then you must be attentive, it sounds boring but you should understand logic in things and should question ‘why?’ does this or that happens or ‘how’ does it happen. When you get to the core of that thing you will have a better understanding of it.
If you have the ability to write things and memorize them then go for it, do whatever makes learning easier for you. Some people have a good memory of a thing when they read it, some have a better understanding if they hear an explanation on that topic.
Another helpful way is to self – examine yourself, ask one of our family members to ask you questions and you can give the answer. Be prepared for twists and turns in the questions, some people don’t realize that the question is same but asked in a different way.
Another thing which some people can do is to learn the initials of the words. For example, if you want to learn the names of the Mughal emperors in order then a word you can make is ‘BHAJSA’ kind of rhyming to ‘badshah’. B stands for Babur, H for Humayun, A represents Akbar, J shows Jahangir, S is Shahjahan and A again for Aurungzeb.
If you can’t understand the concept just by reading or writing, then change your way of learning. Watch an online video as it could help you clear your concept. Studies have actually shown that taking breaks between studies is good, this way your brain relaxes and improves its performance. When you exercise, your brain results smoother information processing and increases its performance. Sleep is also essential for good studying, try to get a good amount of sleep so your brain is much more active and energised and if you get a chance, sneak in a little nap too. It will give you a good energy boost for the rest of the day. If you are music fan then good news! researches have found that if you play classical music or any other soothing music without lyrics, it may improve mood and increase the chances of information retention. Hopefully these tips come in handy to help you study.
