On the occasion of World Peace Day, that is celebrated the world over on 21st of September since 1981, JTCG organised a dynamic and thought provoking assembly to curb racism and build peace. Racism continues to be a driver of persistent inequality and denying people their fundamental human rights. It destabilize societies, undermines democracies and erodes the legitimacy of governments.
The girls of all ages enthusiastically presented an array of performances to elaborate upon the prevalence of ‘Peace’ for a united and happy world. Head Mistress, Ma’am Sumreen Tariq stressed the need to have inner peace and to be kind towards each other.
Peace does not only encompass war, poverty, or hunger but also the inner peace to lead a healthy life. It is rightly said, “Peace cannot be kept by force. It can only be achieved by understanding.” -Albert Einstein
