International Award Program of The Duke of Edinburgh was designed to challenge young people between the ages of 14-24 to attain standards of achievement and endeavor in a wide variety of active interests : to serve their communities, experience adventure and to develop and learn outside the classroom.
We started this Program two years back in JTCG. Our girls whole-heartedly participated in it to enhance their skills.
During this time they performed activities in variety of categories namely: Community Service, Physical Recreation, Skills and Expedition. They worked enthusiastically during those six-months of Bronze level and successfully accomplished the target. Later, received their coveted awards. Soon after Bronze level, most of them enrolled for Silver Level that ,too was completed successfully.
Many other students joined and completed Bronze Level this year.
They not only enjoyed learning new skills, but relished every bit of it.
