Beaconhouse JTCB organised the “Urdu week” in which students from different levels participated in multiple activities and paid tribute to all the pioneer poets of major genres who played an important role in the development of Urdu language by singing their poems, giving speeches, dressed up as those poets and reciting poetry in the traditional style that was culminated in the celebration of Iqbal Day. The activities were designed in groups as well as at the individual level to ensure optimum participation. The importance of Urdu language was highlighted, and the students were encouraged to share their thoughts in Urdu through different interactive sessions. Students of different age groups took a deep interest in their national language and acknowledged its lexical beauty.
