BSS always provides opportunities to students to develop insights into deeper and meaningful learning. To enhance their learning capacity, Lower Primary students of grade II worked on a STEAM Project collaboratively where they learnt about forces. They were engaged in essential questions that were answered through designing, completion and testing of the project. They created catapults to explore simple machines and analyse the force required to increase the distance travelled. Students were supported with required resources, relevant video links and the prototype was finalised with teacher’s assistance. This project ameliorated students’ creativity, and encouraged sustained reasoning. It paved them to innovation and prepared them to learn how the knowledge they’ve acquired can be applied to real-world problems.
