Nowadays education is not only confined to reading and writing, it significantly focuses on holistic development of the children. To enhance student’s knowledge and make learning a fun experience, JTC Lower Primary set up “The Land of Wonder and Awe” for its young learners and exhibited their STEAM & SUPER projects. Ms. Humaira Malik from the HO honoured the event with her gracious presence and appreciated students’ displays and projects.
Lower Primary left no stone unturned to help students to experiment with their knowledge and provided them innumerable opportunities to showcase their skills. Students were actively engaged in role plays, exhibitions, graphical presentations of the surveys conducted, poster and project presentations, sharing recipes and panel discussions. This platform stimulated students to work collaboratively and share their ideas and collectively galvanize those ideas into implementation.
JTC never forgets to engage its parental body in the ceremonies and events and is always glorified with their huge presence. Farmer’s Farm activity was specifically designed to involve mothers. They were offered to prepare baked and homemade food items and register themselves voluntarily. It aimed to promote the usage of organic food amongst children and provoke them to eat healthy food. To sharpen students’ mathematical skills and involve them in real life experiences, children were encouraged to purchase those homemade food items using imitation paper money. This experiential learning enabled them to calculate mentally and communicate with the seller confidently. Mothers’ active involvement in this sell-purchase activity was highly appreciated by the visitors.
The exhibition demonstrated students’ creativity, ingenuity and innovation in their learning. The entire branch transformed into an interactive museum that featured students’ projects everywhere.
