“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone will save it”
Robert Swan
Collaboration has no hierarchy. The sun collaborates with earth to bring flowers on it. Likewise , JTCB collaborated with parents to launch a massive plantation drive across all levels to play its part and expand the sustainability project of plantation.
218 trees were planted in the school grounds and backyards .
The grandeur of the activity can be measured by the fact that it was performed at the same time across all schools of Beaconhouse , nationwide. There was a power shut down for 5 minutes to show solidarity with our pledge of saving natural resources.
In JTCB , students from grade 1 till 9 actively took part in the plantation drive. Each level planted trees and saplings in the green beds of their sections taking oath to sustain the project and to nurture the plants and allow them to grow with them in the school . so they leave a legacy behind to be upheld by their juniors.
The day was very happening till 2:00 pm. At 12.30 the council members, students along with the leadership team signed a pledge and planted trees such as Neem, Pepal and Sukchain. With each passing day, the saplings will become strong and with them faith in our efforts too, to save our mother earth.
