Creativity is a vital skill that students need to be successful in school and life. JTC Lower Primary aims to foster creativity and curiosity in students and encourage them to explore and experiment. Students were engaged in an observational drawing style to represent familiar figures and objects during their Art period. They made measurement focusing on length using their palm as the unit of measurement to create miniature furniture. They watched a video and observed 18th century style Turkish beds called “Lit à la Turque” and Polish beds called “Lit à la Polonaise” and compared with their modern beds. They used play dough and created marvelous miniature bedroom furniture.
