• Mood Books & Drawings:<\/strong> The display showed how children track and express their internal worlds using Mood Books<\/strong> to record daily feelings and through colourful drawings of emotions<\/strong>. Drawing proved to be a key tool for communicating feelings that might be difficult to articulate verbally.<\/li>\n
• Feelings Through Music:<\/strong> This station highlighted the powerful connection between sound and emotion, showing how listening to different types of music can evoke different emotional responses.<\/li>\n
• Happiness Poster:<\/strong> A collective art piece was proudly displayed, featuring drawings of the things that make the children happiest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  The Power of Play and Craft<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  The exhibition truly shone through the artistic and imaginative elements, proving that emotional learning can be incredibly fun and creative:<\/h3>\n

  • Feeling Monsters & Pebble Art:<\/strong> These creative pieces were a clear highlight. The students created their own Feeling Monsters<\/strong>, with each monster representing a different emotion.   • Colour-Emotion Connection:<\/strong> Students showcased their grasp of emotional symbolism<\/strong>, demonstrating how different colours are consciously matched with different feelings.<\/li>\n
  • Practising Expressions:<\/strong> Through the “Feelings in the Mirror” activity, children demonstrated self-awareness<\/strong> by practising and identifying happy, sad, angry, and calm facial expressions.<\/li>\n
  • Digital Literacy:<\/strong> The integration of technology was also featured, showing how the class worked on matching emojis with the correct feelings<\/strong> using a tablet<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Engaging the Senses: The Sensory Stations<\/strong><\/p>\n

    A key component of this PBL unit was connecting feelings to our five senses<\/strong>, which are fundamental to how we perceive and react to the world. The children guided visitors through a rich sensory experience at different dedicated stations:<\/p>\n

    • Touch Station:<\/strong> Allowed children to use their hands to feel and describe different textures like soft, hard, rough, and smooth.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      This comprehensive approach showed that learning about emotions involves the whole body and all our senses.<\/p>\n
