From 5th November to 14th November, Johar Town Junior Branch came alive with the vibrant spirit of language and culture as we celebrated Urdu Week with great zeal and excitement. It was truly a gala time for our students, who enjoyed a variety of activities designed to deepen their appreciation for the Urdu language. Throughout the week, students participated in fun-filled vocabulary-building games that helped enhance their Urdu language skills enjoyable and interactively way. Word hunts, matching games, and creative expression activities kept the children engaged and motivated. Each morning began with thematic assemblies, where students confidently took the stage to present:
Heart-warming performances in honour of Iqbal Day
A delightful Urdu Mushaira, showcasing their talent for poetry recitation. Engaging role plays based on well-known pieces such as “Lab Pe Aati Hai Dua” and “Tot Batot”
Short skits highlighting moral lessons, humour, and cultural value.
Another highlight of the week was the Urdu Storytelling Competitions, where students narrated both humorous and serious stories with expression, fluency, and confidence.
Their performances demonstrated not only their language skills but also their creativity and stage presence.
Taking the excitement further, selected students from all Kindergarten sections represented our branch in the Inter-Branch Storytelling Competition organised by the Canal Side Campus. The cherry on top is that our student proudly secured the Third Prize, bringing joy and pride to the entire Johar Town Junior Branch family.
The week concluded with a strong sense of pride as students celebrated the beauty, richness, and charm of Urdu. Their active participation and joyful learning made the event a resounding success.
