A Sweet and Exciting Start to the School Year
The new academic year began with excitement and smiles as our little learners were welcomed back through a colourful and fun-filled event: Mango Mania Welcome Day. The goal of the day was to help children explore their school environment playfully and comfortably — and what better way to do that than with games, activities, and the cheerful theme of mangoes!
A Festive Welcome for Families
As families entered the campus, they were greeted by a cheerful atmosphere and colourful food stalls offering fresh drinks, fries, and cotton candy. Parents and children captured their first-day photographs together, making lasting memories of this joyful milestone. The welcoming environment reflected our belief in building strong bonds between school and home right from the start.
Exploring and Learning Through Play
Children moved from room to room, discovering fun and exciting learning stations. They played digital games on tablets, used Beebots to explore simple coding, and enjoyed an interactive Snakes and Ladders game laid out on the floor. The use of IRAs and hands-on materials made learning truly come alive for our curious learners.
A Delicious Mango Activity
As part of our mango-themed fun, children also enjoyed a food-based activity where they created their own special mango bowls using yellow jelly, fresh mango pieces, and crushed cookies. It was a delightful way to engage their senses and enjoy the theme of the day — while also practising fine motor skills.
Excitement on the Playground
One of the highlights of the day was the train ride arranged in the playground, along with the lively jumping castle (Jumpolina). Children laughed, cheered, and enjoyed these activities with their peers, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. The playful energy on the playground truly set the tone for a day filled with fun, discovery, and togetherness.
Creative Crafts and Painting
The Mango Mania celebration also featured craft and painting activities, giving children the opportunity to explore their creativity. Using bright colours and simple materials, they made cheerful welcome crafts and expressive paintings. These hands-on experiences not only allowed students to showcase their imagination but also helped them build confidence and fine motor skills. The joy on their faces reflected the excitement of creating something unique to mark their very first day at school.
A Confident First Step
The Mango Mania Welcome Day wasn’t just about fun — it helped our young students feel safe, welcomed, and excited about school. Exploring classrooms, trying activities, and playing with friends gave them the confidence to begin their school journey with joy and positivity.
At Beaconhouse Junior Campus, Johar Town, we believe that a happy beginning lays the foundation for a love of learning. Mango Mania was our way of saying, “Welcome to your second home.”
We are so proud of our little stars and look forward to an amazing year ahead, full of learning, laughter, and growth!
