The first activity of the day encouraged creativity and imagination as children worked with their grandparents to make Grandma and Grandpa crafts. This hands-on experience not only strengthened their bond but also allowed children to express how they view and love their elders through art.
Handprint Memory Cards:
The next station was a favourite among many—handprint painting. With colourful paint and excitement, grandparents and their little ones stamped their hands together to create a beautiful memory card. This keepsake symbolised love, connection, and the special role grandparents play in their lives.
A Delightful Tea Break:
Following the crafts, families enjoyed a comforting snack time featuring tea, sandwiches, patties, shakes, and a variety of treats. This relaxed moment allowed grandparents and students to sit together, talk, and enjoy the warmth of the celebration.
A Song from the Heart:
The students of Pre-Nursery added a truly touching moment to the event by performing a sweet song titled “Grandma, Grandpa, Today Is for You!” Their voices filled the room with happiness and pride, bringing smiles to the faces of all grandparents present.
Sharing Thoughts and Love:
After the song, children were invited to share a few heartfelt words about their grandparents. These simple yet meaningful expressions highlighted the love, comfort, and joy that grandparents bring into their lives.
Fun and Laughter with Games:
The celebration continued with a lively ball-balancing game, where grandparents and their grandchildren worked together to balance a balloon on a spoon. The laughter, cheering, and teamwork made this activity one of the most enjoyable moments of the day.
