Grandparents and children have a special connection that is proven to both make grandparents live longer, and also make children more emotionally resilient. Grandparents Day is an opportunity to treasure that connection and spend some quality family time together. Beaconhouse JTJ opted to celebrate ‘Grandparents Day’ at pre-nursery level where grandparents spend quality time with their little bundles of joy. A vast array of engaging activities and games such as, spoon balancing race and bean bag race helped them cherish the moment and create lifelong memories. Students were motivated to draw their grandparents and the grandparents also got the opportunity to show their drawing skills. Moreover, they also had a breakfast together where grandparents helped their children making their favourite sandwiches and shakes.
Students showed their outmost love for their grandparents by singing songs, saying some special words in their honour and showing gratitude in the cutest way.
All in all, it was an educational and recreational event for the grandparents where they were made to realize how they are very significant and integral part of a child’s life and how they can contribute to the development of their children.
