On September 6, 2024, students at Beaconhouse JTJ commemorated Defence Day in honor of the martyrs. They were encouraged to wear green or white attire and to bring a Pakistani flag to wave during the celebration. The day began with a morning assembly, where students shared insights about the sacrifices made by our courageous soldiers in defending the country from external threats. Students highlighted notable figures such as MM Alam, reminding their peers of the honorable actions taken to protect Pakistan’s borders.

The assembly concluded with a patriotic song, “Yeh watan tumhara hai,” performed by the Kindergarten students. Later, teachers discussed the significance of Defence Day in their respective classes, engaging students in conversations about why it is celebrated and instilling pride in our Air Force for their bravery demonstrated on this day. Kindergarten students watched videos related to Defence Day to enhance their awareness and understanding. At the end of the day, students received Defence Day-themed takeaways to bring home.
