An entertaining Slumber party and movie night with a lot of stories, lullabies, and a lot more thematically designed learning activities were arranged for the students of Kindergarten to introduce them to the reader of the month “Oliver Who Would Not Sleep”. The students were accompanied by their mothers. They came joyfully to school, dressed in their night pajamas along with their favourite stuffed toys. To further incite students’ excitement, the school ground was decorated with fairy lights, glowing stars on the ceiling, food stalls and decorations pertaining to the theme of movie night. The atmosphere in the school was electric with loud chatter and laughter, banter and stories, starry walks and outdoor movie session. Students were thoroughly engrossed in the animated movie named ‘wish dragon’ thoroughly, which not only enhanced their listening and comprehension skills but also encouraged imagination and creativity as they discussed the film afterwards with their peers. It was an excellent opportunity for young children to unwind, relax, exercise their autonomy and develop social skills under the caring vigil of their teachers and parents.
