The Global Dignity Day was celebrated on Wednesday,19th October 2022 at Johar Town Junior Branch. Kindergarten Yellow got privilege to start the respective day with morning assembly, where Dignity awareness inculcated through innovative ideas, informative role plays depicting real life scenarios. As a respectful gesture, all janitor staff members were invited on the stage and students thanked them, realizing the true spirit of that special day.
To make the concept of dignity understandable to each and every student the parents were taken into the loop and were asked to motivate their children to be empathetic towards people like driver, guard, maid, cook etc, who make our lives comfortable by providing their services and share their children pictures of any act of kindness with the school. In this regard, students were encouraged to pack a small presentable gift containing stationary items, books, copies, toys etc. to be shared with SOS and Junior Staff’s children.
Over and above that was the Inter and intra branch Dignity speech contest which provided our young Beaconites with a platform to hone and exhibit their spoken skills. Students from various Beaconhouse early years branches (national level) enthusiastically took part in this collaborative forum where students got the opportunity to exchange their thoughts on the topic, ‘My way of Dignity!’ confidently. It was indeed a wonderful event where breathtaking speeches of the tiny tots made the audience full of praises. This event provided a podium for collaboration to BSS branches as their teachers coordinated and students with their parents actively participated in exchange of ideas related to the topic in full vim and vigor. It was a booming success for JTJ.
