The importance of sports encompasses more than just the benefit of physical activity. It helps in enhancing self esteem and mental alertness among students. Also, it teaches punctuality, discipline and teamwork.
Keeping this in mind, Beaconhouse School System, North Nazimabad Middle Campus organized an Inter House Cricket Tournament for the students of classes VII and VIII in the premises of the school.
The acme feat started off by a series of trial matches between different houses of the campus for merit based selection of the teams. Captains of each house along with their coaches carefully gauged the performances of the players and modeled their teams judiciously.
The excitement and thrill could be seen from the jubilant faces of the students while they are all set for the most awaited sporting event in the school “Interhouse Cricket Tournament”.
Red and yellow team displayed excellent batting skills. The final match exhibited sportsmanship from both the teams with victory falling into the lap of Yellow house, as decided by the results of a super over played in the end.
Truly, it was a magnificent, nail biting and well deserved win. While the winners were cheered, the efforts of the runners up were equally appreciated. Both the teams presented an impressive show.
It was indeed a big day for the participants and a very memorable one for the winners.
