Field trips have proven to be essential part of the holistic development of students. These young learners are able to make links between classroom learning and real life experiences which aides them to solve problems around them. Such practices help in enriching their social, emotional and cognitive skills.
A camping trip to “Muhammad Siddique Memon Scout Sports Complex” was organized for students of Classes 6 and 7 by Primary Campus- I, North Nazimabad.
Students were thrilled about their trip to the camping site. On Friday morning the school compound was filled with laughter and merriment as they waited impatiently to board the bus for the field trip. On their journey they discussed about the fascinating activities they would experience at the camp site.
After reaching the camp site students took part in the following activities with zeal and zest:
- How to make a campfire
- Singing competition
- A Session on ‘What is Scouting?’
- An Adventure Trail
- Breakfast
- Basketball Match
- Futsal match
- Namaz and Lunch Break
- Archery
- Session on Global Warming
- Camp Closing Ceremony
Students were divided according to their 4 houses. Different competitions were held to develop cooperation, empathy resilience and perseverance in students. All the Students were awarded with certificates of participation. Members of the ‘Green House’ were presented with a trophy on their victory.
The exhilarating day ended with students rejoicing about their trip and creating new memories with their friends.
