Decades of educational research has demonstrated that the benefits of engaging in debate are numerous. These competitions are helpful in the development of innumerable life-long skills in students which are beneficial for their growth. These skills include:
- Inspiring students to research and develop reading skills.
- Increasing critical thinking and communication skills.
- Enhancing the ability to structure and organize thoughts.
- Improving learners’ ability of exhausting sensible and knowledgeable arguments with evidence to present ideas.
- Encouraging teamwork.
- Eradicating fear of public speaking
Students from classes 4 -7 took part in ‘Intra-Cluster English Debate Competition.’ They actively researched the topics, discussed the same with their parents and teachers and then wrote in favour and against the topics. After rigorous practice for a month students were selected for the competition to represent our branch(NNPI).
The students skilfully presented their ideas coherently in front of the spectators with great fervor. They spoke with great conviction and confidence. Napoleon Hill says:
“Patience, persistence and perspiration make an unbeatable combination for success.”
Beaconhouse School System, Primary Campus I, North Nazimabad secured the 1st and 3rd prize in ‘Intra-Cluster English Debate Competition.’ Well done and Congratulations to:

- Arham Aamir of Class 6 for securing the 1st position
Students applauded and appreciated the participants and the winners for their hard work and wonderful success in the morning assembly.
