The electrifying energy of the annual Branch based English Debate Competition buzzed our campus, Beaconhouse School System, NNPII! From the passionate arguments of Class 4 to the nuanced perspectives of Class 6, it was an event filled with intellectual fireworks and spirited competition.
The first round saw enthusiastic students from each class battling it out within their sections. Class 4 grappled with the critical question: “One skill or many?” – debating the merits of specialization versus versatility. In Class 5, the air crackled with the pros and cons of replacing textbooks with digital tools, while Class 6 delved into the fascinating, and perhaps unsettling, world of AI Chatbots and their potential to combat loneliness.
The winners of each class then advanced to the inter-section round, where they crossed swords with their peers from other sections. The stage was set for fierce but friendly debates, with each student showcasing their persuasive skills and in-depth knowledge of their topic.
Finally, after a nail-biting finale, the champions emerged! Each class crowned a champion and runner-up, who will now carry the torch for our branch in the upcoming Intra-Cluster round. We’re confident that their eloquence and critical thinking will shine brightly on the bigger stage.
But the true winners of the day were all the participants. The competition not only honed their public speaking skills and research abilities, but also fostered a love for language and a spirit of healthy debate. It was a testament to the power of education in nurturing young minds and empowering them to express themselves with confidence and clarity.
So, let’s give a resounding cheer to all our young orators who embraced the challenge and brought their A-game to the competition! We can’t wait to see them shine in the Intra-Cluster round and bring even more glory to our branch!
